Fly in the Slipstream of Heroes
Youโll have the chance to fly in the slipstream of heroes who once fought for our freedom. Feel the thrill of piloting a powerful WWII warbird trainer, just like the brave pilots did in the Battle of Britain.
What makes this flight unique is that youโll take control of the aircraft and you decide how long we fly for. Then, during the flight, your pilot will take over and perform authentic WWII-style aerobatics. You’ll see how pilots reacted to enemy attacks using real evasive manoeuvres taught during the war.
If you’re enjoying the flight (and most people do!), you can request an extra 10 minutes in the air. Just let the pilot know during the flight. The extra time is payable after landing at ยฃ199.00.

Where else can you fly a warbird, wherever you want under instruction? You don’t have to be a pilot; this can be done as a lesson with a qualified flying instructor.
If you are a pilot, even better, you can log the time as you fly with one of our instructors. Maybe you want to do a conversion course with us after the flight?
We will work with you and help you plan your experience. We are happy to fly from airfield to airfield, around the countryside, or spend the time looping and rolling; it’s entirely up to you! The Harvard can cruise at 140 miles per hour, so we can get places quickly and fly nonstop for two and a half hours before we need fuel, so no destination is too far.

Example 1: Recently, we had a customer who wanted to fly over his grandad’s grave in Nottingham. The customer’s grandfather was a former RAF Hurricane pilot trained on Harvards during the war. We were happy to oblige, and the best part was the customer flew all the way there and back. When the customer arrived, we took him through flight planning and familiarisation with the aircraft. As this flight was an experienced flight with a fully qualified Flight Instructor, the customer became the student, and various flight exercises were completed on the way. This flight lasted almost two hours, and on landing, the customer wanted to go on another trip the same day.
Example 2:ย A customer approached us for a sedate flight around Cambridge as they had lived there for many years and watched the many warbirds flying around. We made a bespoke experience for her, which consisted of a 45-minute flight with no aeros at a very low cruising speed so she could take photographs and take this opportunity, another satisfied customer who had their dreams come true.
Example 3: Request for a Hurricane escort to Duxford from the customer’s home airfield in the Wacky Wabbit, followed by A spitfire flight on a duel T9 Spitfire at Duxford, lunch, then a Hurricane escort back to the home airfield. This was quite a simple task for us to administer and fly and an absolute pleasure to be part of. This was a day to remember for all involved!
