The Wabbit is in great shape, being looked after by our camo, “The Aircraft Restoration Company” at Duxford, experts in Warbird maintenance and restoration. The Wabbit has had a new Engine, a New overhauled prop, New paintwork, New tail feathers, and so on. She is one of Europe’s best flying examples of an Mk4 Harvard. It is both mechanically sound and stunning and most certainly the best-known Harvard!

Training & Experience Flights
With over a decade of dedicated training, T6 Harvard Ltd has become the go-to company for Harvard warbird instruction. Weโ€™ve proudly sent more than 50 pilots solo, with many more currently in training. Through trial lessons and ‘Exercise 3’ air experience flights, weโ€™ve introduced thousands to the thrill of flying a Harvardโ€”and we continue to add new experiences every year.

Airshows
In 2021, we upgraded the Wacky Wabbit with an 8-gallon smoke generator to enhance our airshow displays. Now, we delight every senseโ€”hear the iconic roar of the Harvard, admire the flawless paintwork, and watch the dramatic smoke trail carve through the sky.

Film & Media Work
The Wacky Wabbit began her screen career in Empire of the Sun during the 1990sโ€”and she’s still flying for the cameras. She has featured in several documentaries and recently appeared in Guy Martinโ€™s Battle of Britain special on Channel 4.

Our Home Base

Peterborough Conington (formerly RAF Glatton)
Peterborough Conington has been the home of T6 Harvard Ltd since 2021. It also hosts our Declared Training Organisation (DTO 0308). Weโ€™re proud to operate from this historic wartime airfield. During World War II, hundreds of brave airmen flew from here.

In just 14 months, 729 aircrew were killed, listed as missing, or captured as prisoners of war. Their sacrifice is never forgotten. Today, when you fly from Conington, you feel that history beneath your wings.

We still use part of the original 28/10 runway. As you line up on final for Runway 28, you canโ€™t help but picture those crews returning from missions. The mural on the hangar reminds us of their courage and the stories this airfield still holds.

Fowlmere Airfield
Fowlmere, once RAF Fowlmere, is our secondary base. Itโ€™s one of the most iconic airfields of the Battle of Britain. Weโ€™re honoured to offer our Battle of Britain flights from such a legendary site.

This airfield is more than just a placeโ€”itโ€™s part of living history. You can read about dogfights in books, but flying in a real warbird is something else entirely. The roar of the engine, the smell of oil and fuel, the pull of g-forcesโ€”itโ€™s a history lesson in motion.

Fowlmere transports you back in time. With a little imagination, you can almost see the scramble. You can almost hear the footsteps of heroes like Johnnie Johnson running to their Spitfires.

Our Friends and Volunteers
We’re incredibly proud of our dedicated team of volunteers who fully support our mission and company goals. While the directors work hard behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly, the pilots and ground crew get to have all the funโ€”yes, a director wrote this!

Our Head of Training, a seasoned Commercial Airline Pilot, brings a wealth of experience flying the Harvard and other vintage aircraft. Most of our pilots are professional aviators, many of whom fly for major airlines. They generously volunteer their time to share their passion and help bring history to life. We simply couldnโ€™t do it without them.

ย

Again, the ground crew are all volunteers who gather at Duxford and spend hours cleaning and polishing the Wabbit and volunteering on weekends on event days to deal with customers and sell our merchandise. We have a great team dedicated to the mission. We are always looking for that ‘special volunteer’ who would fit in with our company dynamic and help the team – It could be you!
