The Fighter Mission โ€“ ยฃ1,499

One-hour T-6 Harvard fighter-style warbird experience

A one-hour, hands-on warbird adventure with route planning and full WWII aerobatics

The Fighter Mission is a premium, extended one-hour aviation experience created for those who want maximum time at the controls, deeper immersion, and the opportunity to plan and execute a genuine fighter-style mission profile.

For anyone seeking the most hands-on flying time we offer, this experience delivers.

During the flight, youโ€™ll work closely with your instructor to plan the route, handle the aircraft for a significant portion of the mission, and experience the same WWII aerobatics taught to fighter pilots of the 1940s.
As a result, this flight feels far closer to a real wartime training sortie than a simple air experience.

Designed for maximum hands-on flying

Unlike shorter flights, the Fighter Mission allows time to settle into the aircraft and truly understand how a warbird behaves.
Because of the extended duration, youโ€™ll experience the Harvard in climb, cruise, turns, and higher-energy manoeuvres, building confidence throughout the sortie.

In addition, the mission-style structure means every phase of the flight has purpose, from planning on the ground to execution in the air.

Whatโ€™s included in the Fighter Mission

One-hour mission profile

A full 60-minute airborne experience, making this one of our longest and most immersive flight options.
For this reason, generous hands-on flying time is built into the mission from start to finish.

Route planning session

Before engine start, youโ€™ll sit down with your instructor to plan the route.
During this briefing, youโ€™ll discuss headings, altitude, manoeuvres, and what to expect during each phase of the flight.

Hands-on flying throughout

Throughout the mission, youโ€™ll fly the Harvard for extended periods.
At the same time, youโ€™ll learn how the aircraft responds in climb, cruise, turns, and combat-style manoeuvres.

Full aerobatic sequence (conditions permitting)

Just like WWII fighter training, youโ€™ll witness and feel a complete aerobatic display, including:

  • Loop

  • Aileron Roll

  • Barrel Roll

  • Cuban Eight

These classic manoeuvres were used to prepare pilots for aerial combat and are demonstrated in a controlled, professional environment.

Combat-style evasive manoeuvres

In addition to aerobatics, your instructor will demonstrate evasive manoeuvres used to avoid enemy fighters during the Battle of Britain.

Air Experience Flight โ€“ PPL Exercise 3

The Fighter Mission qualifies as a genuine flying lesson and can be logged in your pilot logbook where applicable.

Photographs with the aircraft

Finally, youโ€™ll have the opportunity to capture your day as a wartime aviator with photographs before or after the flight.

Why choose the Fighter Mission?

This is one of the most immersive and hands-on warbird experiences available, offering a full hour in the aircraft.

Rather than being a passenger, you become part of the mission.

You will plan the route, fly the aircraft yourself, experience full WWII aerobatics, and feel the power, precision, and G-forces that shaped fighter pilots preparing for real operations.
Ultimately, this experience is designed for those who want depth, realism, and maximum involvement.
