Wacky Wabbit at Duxford Battle of Britain Air Show 2026

What a day at IWM Duxford! The Wacky Wabbit team set up camp for the Battle of Britain Air Show on Saturday 12th September, gazebo up, merchandise stall open, and the Harvard herself parked up for visitors to climb aboard.

For just £20, people could sit in the cockpit of our T-6 Harvard, “Wacky Wabbit,” and get a real feel for the aircraft that trained so many wartime pilots on Spitfires, Hurricanes and Mustangs. The uptake was fantastic — a steady stream of visitors all day, queuing for their turn in the seat, browsing the merchandise, and stopping to chat with the team.

It wasn’t just a great day for photos, either. Plenty of people who sat in the Harvard today went on to book flights with us for the rest of the season, which is exactly what we love to see — that spark of “I have to try this for real” translating into a proper flight.

Huge thanks to Donnie, Colin, Matt and Kev for running the stand all day and making it such a welcoming stop on the flightline. Their enthusiasm for the aircraft is infectious, and it showed in just how many people left with a smile (and a few with a new t-shirt).

We’ve also recently launched our online merchandise shop, with all proceeds going straight back into keeping Wacky Wabbit airworthy. Down the line we’ll be stocking genuine Harvard spares and parts too, for fellow warbird owners and restorers.
