Battle of Britain Coastal Mission
Fly in the slipstream of heroes
Step back to 1940 and take your place in the skies that defined a nation.
Departing from Peterborough Conington, this extraordinary long-range mission follows a historic route south toward the iconic White Cliffs of Doverโflying through the very airspace where the Battle of Britain was fought and won. This is not just a flightโฆ itโs a living tribute to the courage, skill, and sacrifice of โThe Few.โ
As you track toward the coast, youโll pass over and near some of the most famous WWII fighter stations and operational airfields echoes of Spitfires and Hurricanes still lingering in the landscape below. Then, as the coastline appears on the horizon, the breathtaking White Cliffs rise beneath youโjust as they did for those returning home from combat.
But the mission doesnโt end there.
On route, your pilot will demonstrate the realities of air combat with a simulated โbounceโโa surprise mock dogfight, replicating the moment RAF pilots would have been attacked by enemy fighters in 1940. Feel the energy, the urgency, and the raw handling of the Harvard as you experience evasive manoeuvres in the very skies where history unfolded.
After your coastal run, youโll turn for homeโtracing a return route back to Peterborough, completing an unforgettable round mission steeped in history.
